Welcome to the Summer X-Games. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Summer X-Games mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The Summer X-Games is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
Summer X-Games The annual Summer X-Games is held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Over 300 of the world's best alternative sports athletes compete for medals and nearly US $1 million in cash.
The competitors defy gravity and test fate by launching off jumps, sliding down rails, spinning and flipping in a variety of sports.
Skateboarding action takes place in several disciplines - Street/Park, Vert and Luge. The Street event takes place on a specially-designed course with stairs, handrails and banks. Vert skating is performed on a vert ramp, where the skaters compete for singles and doubles titles on the huge halfpipe. The Street Luge is the final event, where the racers pilot highly-modified skateboards downhill at high speed.…...more!
